Truffles for the People
We grow French black truffles in hydroponics, then dry and mill them to a fine powder. Truffle powder is available to the home cook at an affordable price all year round.
Our truffles are organic and Kosher and have an earthy, mushroomy aroma, devoid of the unpleasant, sulfuric aroma of truffles harvested from the wild. They are an excellent flavor enhancer and can be used to transform a wide variety of foods ranging from desserts to main dishes.

Simple to Use
Truffle powder is very simple to use. The best results are obtained by using the truffle powder at about 1% level, or about one teaspoon per two cups. The powdert is most effective when heated for a minute or so in cream, butter, oil, or fat before adding the other ingredients for a special dish. Like other dry mushrooms, truffle powder can be hydrated before use. Click here for a list of simple and delicious recipes..

Cultured Truffles
Truffles are normally harvested from the wild, where they grow underground in association with the roots of certain trees. The conditions in which they grow in the wild are very particular and for decades people have been frustrated in their efforts to duplicate these conditions in order to produce this subterranean delicacy economically on a commercial scale.
"To the black truffle drink, for I
Hate the ungrateful worse than hell;
The herb which gives us victory
In that short fight we love so well."
-Brillet-Savarin
